Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 4 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 minute more.

Add chicken cubes and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Stir in white beans, green chiles, chicken broth, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, until chicken is cooked through.
