In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, lemon zest, oregano, thyme, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.

Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour marinade over chicken, turning to coat. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 2 hours).

Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F).
